We are so excited to have our first graduating class of New Tech students this spring. These students have helped to make our program what it is today, and we would love to celebrate their successes and the great times we have shared. On Thursday, May 21st, we will be hosting a dinner for the senior students and all New Tech facilitators in the cafeteria followed by an awards ceremony in the main auditorium that parents will attend. The dinner will be a time to share stories and have final farewells; during the awards ceremony we will recognize the top academic New Tech students as well as students who have excelled in different projects and school-wide learning outcomes. This will also be a time to reflect on some of the amazing work these students have produced. All seniors will be presented with a New Tech certificate of completion as well. Our hope is that this will become an annual event.
As a staff we have been working hard to lay the ground work for this event, but we can’t pull it off alone. On Thursday, April 16th from 5:30-7:00PM, we will have a meeting in the BHS Media Center for all parents who would like to get involved. We will be making major decisions about the event and creating committees to delegate tasks. Whether you are a senior parent wanting to help plan one last celebration for your child or an underclassmen parent looking toward the future of this event, we would love for you join us.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Scott Wilsey at 734.697.9133 or firstname.lastname@example.org. We appreciate your continued support of the New Tech program and hope to see you on April 16th!
